Three Changes for the 2018 Honda Accord, and Three Things that Remain the Same

Here at Morganton Honda, we appreciate all of the wonderful vehicles we have available on our new car lot. But, the steadfast and true, Honda Accord remains an all-time favorite of ours.

With the start of 2018 behind us, we're excited to bring a new version of this beloved model to our customers. The 2018 Honda Accord has been dramatically remodeled for the new model year, and the result is something all Honda fans should see.

Of course, it's not all about change for the 2018 Honda Accord. Some elements of this model will be familiar to our customers, including:

  1. Styles. For 2018, the Honda Accord is still available in the familiar body style options, either a two-door coupe, or a four-door sedan.
  2. Trim names. The trim lineup for the sedan version of the 2018 Honda Accord includes five trims that Honda fans are already familiars with - the 2018 Honda Accord LX, the 2018 Honda Accord Sport, the 2018 Honda Accord EX, the 2018 Honda Accord EX-L, and the 2018 Honda Accord Touring. Previously, there were additional trims in the mix, including the 2017 Honda Accord EX-L V6, but, that one has been eliminated for 2018, along with its V6 engine.
  3. Interior space. The exterior of the 2018 Honda Accord may be sleek, but the inside still offers a comfortable ride with plenty of legroom and headroom, similar to previous versions.

Despite the similarities, there are some notable changes for the 2018 Honda Accord. Among them:

  1. Interior design. The updates to the 2018 Honda Accord are unmistakable inside the cabin. Materials have been upgraded and the cabin has been reworked, complete with a topnotch user interface, and conveniently located knobs and dials.
  2. Engine and performance. In previous years, this model had an optional V6 in the lineup. But, as mentioned in the previous section, that engine has been discontinued as part of this remodel. The available powertrains now include a 192-horsepower four-cylinder engine, or a 252-horsepower four-cylinder.
  3. Standard safety features. As part of the 2018 model, drivers can look forward to every model now coming standard with a slew of advanced driver aids, including forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control.

To meet the 2018 Honda Accord in person, and see for yourself all the new elements to this great car, stop by and visit us here at Morganton Honda, on Burkemont Avenue. We're open Monday through Saturday and look forward to helping you get acquainted with the 2018 Honda Accord.
